Christmas Drop In 2017

On Thursday 7^th December 2017 Ryde Social Heritage Group held a Christmas Drop-in event at the Ryde Heritage and Learning Centre which, despite the highly inclement weather caused by the latest named storm, was attended by 20 intrepid members and visitors.

The Centre was decorated for the Festive Season as were several members who had donned Christmas sweaters and Santa hats and this helped to offset the gloom outside.

The theme of the day was predominately social with those attending being encouraged to reminisce and talk about “the old days” which proved to be very enjoyable. Our reference archive was also available for those wishing to use it.

The soup and crusty bread which was served in addition to seasonal snacks further added to the warmth of the occasion.
