Friends of Ryde Cemetery Website

Our sister group the Friends of Ryde Cemetery have launched their website.

Our sister group the Friends of Ryde Cemetery (FORC) have just launched their website which contains a lot of information about Ryde Cemetery and the IW Council’s Ryde Cemetery Restoration Project.

The Friends Group is now holding fortnightly Saturday working parties in Ryde Cemetery to clear some of the overgrown graves and to clear some of the ivy and shrubs from the walls.

If you fancy helping out with this clearing work, no previous experience is necessary, some tools will be available, but if you are able to bring secateurs or handsaws it would be appreciated. Gardening gloves are also recommended.

The dates for the clearing work are November 1, 15 and 29 from 9:30am to 12pm.
