In December our small but busy research team added detail to another 19 records on the website.

In December our small but busy research team added detail to another 19 records on the website. Not as many as usual but this is due to the Christmas break and still a fantastic achievement from the team.

This months additions include reports of:

* The death of Edward Carter in November 1884. He was Highway Commissioner and church warden for the parish of Ryde
* The death of John Graham in March 1931. He was formerly a member of the Stock Exchange and during WW1 held an appointment in the Ministry of Munitions
* The wedding of Lieut W Drummond to Miss Hilda James on Boxing Day 1917
* The death of Francis Robert James (father of Hilda Drummond nee James) in June 1934, a naval pensioner and keen gardener
* The death of Mr George Wills, he ran a tobacconist shop in Ryde for many years.
