HERITAGE OPEN DAYS IN RYDE CEMETERY

On Friday September 10 and Saturday September 11 Ryde Social Heritage Group will be hosting Heritage Open Days in Ryde Cemetery from 10am to 4pm on both days.

Heritage Open days is a collaboration between RSHG, IW Council’s Bereavement Services Department, Dover Park School, Hants & IW Wildlife Trust and the Friends of Ryde Cemetery.

We will be celebrating the successful completion of the IW Council’s Ryde Cemetery Restoration Project and the opening of the new Heritage and Learning Resource Centre.

There will be exhibitions and displays about the Restoration Project, the Cemetery Heritage Trail, the History of the Cemetery, work undertaken by Dover Park School and the training workshops that has been delivered as part of the Project. There will also be guided walks and talks, presentations and a chance for everyone to see the work that has been achieved through the project.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
