EDUCATION – A NEW SECTION ON OUR WEBSITE

A School Group in Ryde Cemetery

September is the beginning of the new school year and an appropriate time to launch the Education Section of Ryde Social Heritage Group’s website.

Kate McDonell, is a teacher at Dover Park Primary School, and David Earle, who has been a teaching assistant at Oakfield Primary School, have worked together to produce some fantastic educational resources.

All of the materials for teaching school groups in Ryde Cemetery have been tried and tested and are based on work already carried out with schools. Ryde Cemetery offers excellent facilities for school groups. These resources can, of course, be adapted for use in other cemeteries.
