Members Anniversary Picnic

It was a lovely day on Saturday 20th August when we held a picnic for our members in the cemetery, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of RSHG formation. The weather was kind, warm sunshine and a light breeze enabled us to place tables and chairs outside as well as in both chapels which were decorated with bunting, and the gazebo afforded some shade. Our display boards in the North and South chapels charted some of the history of our past 20 years and were studied avidly by our visitors.

A plentiful buffet was laid on with savouries, cakes, biscuits and sweets. Around 30 members attended, a few non-members came along and now we have a further 2 added to our number. A raffle was held, the prizes having been donated by members to help our funds.

It was an amazing time to see our members talking with one another and enjoying each other’s company.  A very big thank you for all the volunteers,  who helped to make it a wonderful success.
