Remembrance Service

RSHG held a Remembrance Service on Saturday 12th November at 3pm in the West Street Cemetery in Ryde. The Ryde Sea Cadets from T.S. The Royal George, marched with their Colours into the South Chapel which was full to capacity. 35 people were in attendance for the Service.

The Rev. Kerry Birch led the service with prayers. A poem “The Rouge Bouquet” by Joyce Kilmer, was read by Julie Jordon.

After the service refreshments were served in the North Chapel and people had time to mingle and socialize.

We very much appreciated that the Sea Cadets were able to attend, also for Kerry for producing the order of service.  The committee would like to thank all who attended, and everyone who helped in any way to make this such a successful Remembrance Service.
