Heritage Open Days 12 & 16 September

For Heritage Open Days RSHG will be hosting events at the Heritage Resource centre in Ryde Cemetery  on Tuesday 12th and Saturday 16th September, 10am till 2pm on both days.

There will be exhibitions on various themes to peruse.  Our archive and old maps will be available for visitors to browse, also many old photographs.

The guided walk at 11am includes the history of the 3 chapels, and visits the graves of some people of the town and the interesting aspects of their lives.

There are some quizzes to try, not difficult, but great fun.  Also, ‘Find the Item’ games for children, plus colouring the pictures, and making a cardboard castle.

Refreshments including home-made cakes will be available all the while we are open.

We look forward to seeing you.
