The Star Inn 150th Anniversary

The committee members and their spouses attended a splendid evening on Thursday 7th December, as we joined the landlord and his partner at the Star Inn, High Street, Ryde, to  celebrate with them 150 years of their establishment.  A good many people came along to take part, with festive food for everyone, music, a roaring fire and I as chairperson gave a short presentation for them.  Ann created a folder for Rob and Lesley, so that their customers were able to learn more about the history of the original Star Hotel and later on the Star Inn pub.

We will continue to collaborate with them and to add to their knowledge of the Star Inn. We were made very welcome and they were very appreciative of our interest and the material that we provided for them.
