Members Meeting & Social Morning April 2024

We were very impressed as to how many people came along to our Quarterly Members Meeting on the 6th April, 2024.  50 people attended, but wait for it, we had 19 visitors, some from Wootton Bridge as they were interested in the presentation from Hilary Lloyd entitled “Wootton Bridge in Times Past.” The images Hilary used were from her own postcard collection which she has acquired over many years.  The talk was so interesting and informative and showed a large extent of Wootton Bridges’ history, including several churches, pubs and general life in Wootton Bridge.

We also had a good response from our book sales, as well as signing up new members.  Refreshments and the raffle also helped with supporting our group finances, before hearing Hilary’s excellent presentation.
