Grave Description: Large plot surrounded by stone kerbs, simple, plain raised cross on two tier plinth in centre. There is also a memorial in St Thomas Church, Ryde and a plaque on the wall of a building erected by his friends to commemorate his invaluable work in Monkton Street, Ryde.

COUNTY HOSPITAL AND ESTABLISHED
THE RYDE DISTRICT NURSING INSTITUTE
ALSO GREAT INTEREST IN ALL
PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS IN THE BOROUGH
HE DIED
GREATLY BELOVED AND DEEPLY LAMENTED
