The Big Draw

This fantastic artwork was drawn by a boy called Angus for our Big Draw event in Ryde Cemetery.

Carol Strong, leader of the Publications Group, had produced two very large drawings: one of 4 panels was an interpretation of the Cemetery and the other of 12 panels was an interpretation of Ryde. The Big Drawings had just some of the main features of the Cemetery and the town and visitors were encouraged to add to the drawings. Young Angus really entered into the spirit of the Big Draw event. He chose one of the 12 panels for the Interpretation of Ryde, when he started the panel just had the shoreline and the two ships already drawn in, Angus added the buildings, the sky, some fish in the sea and everything else in the picture and he produced a really wonderful drawing.
