Our busy Research Team, led by Ann Barrett, added detail to 57 of the records on the website in August 2009.

Examples of this months additions include: the report of the death of Captain George Luard Alexander, killed in action on the Western Front in August 1917; the death of Captain Ranald M Alexander (father of G L Alexander) in 1922; the erection of a handsome tomb on the grave of Charles Brett Esq in 1878; Obituary for Mr Charlie Corry who died in December 1886 he had worked for the Post Office; the report of a fatal carriage accident at Nettlestone in September 1887 which caused the death of Thomas Whittingstall; plus much more.
