As part of the Celebrate Age Festival, 1 - 3 October 2010 at Ryde Library, RSHG has a new exhibition, 'Ryde's Heritage, Our Town, Your Histories'.

As part of the Celebrate Age Festival, 1 – 3 October 2010 at Ryde Library, RSHG has a new exhibition, ‘Ryde’s Heritage, Our Town, Your Histories’. The display features just a small part of our collection of personal memories, adverts and stories from Ryde in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, together with school photographs and school memories from 1930s through to the 1970s. Are you, your friends or neighbours in the photographs? Please help us to fill in the missing names.

RSHG members will be on hand in Ryde Library on Saturday 2 October from 10am to 4pm to talk about our work and help you to share and write down your memories of our town. Please come along to meet us. There will also be representatives from the Isle of Wight Family History Society, displays by the Isle of Wight Heritage Service and other groups, and the library has a good range of local books you can browse.

The exhibition will be at Ryde Library until 30 October 2010.
