Ann Barrett - Research Leader
Ann Barrett - Research Leader

Our small Research Team added detail to 34 records on the website in November.

This month we are especially grateful to our member, Gordon Childs, for supplying detail about the Ballard family.

Detail this month is mainly from census and birth and marriage registers but also includes:

* Obituary for Miss Frances Sarah Coombes who died in 1939 aged 81, she had lived in Ryde all her life where she was a private nurse.

* Details of a sad boating accident in a storm in 1903 when 16 year old Warwick Knowles was drowned.

* Death notice for Mr Raymond Jarvis Sibley who died in 1939 aged 78 years, he had worked for the Ryde Gaslight Company and was their oldest employee when he retired.
