JANUARY 2011 ADDITIONS TO RECORDS

RSHG Researchers Ann & Jenny
RSHG Researchers Ann & Jenny

Our small Research Team added detail to 26 records on the website in January, another fantastic achievement for a small team of volunteers particularly considering the cold weather in January.

Detail this month is mainly from census, birth and marriage registers but also includes:

* Detail of an accident to Mr Joseph Corney in 1937

* Death of Mr William Daish in 1903. For many years he had been a deacon and honorary treasurer at Christ Church (Baptist) in George Street.

* Detail of Sir Henry Dale’s will.

* Death of Col. Montagu Hall in 1904, he had been a gallant soldier in the Indian army.

* The wedding of Miss Emily Dave to Frank Hansford in July 1894.
