FEBRUARY 2011 ADDITIONS TO RECORDS

Our small Research Team added detail to 15 records on the website in February.

Detail this month is mainly from census, birth and marriage registers but also includes:

* The funeral notice for Miss Augusta Clifford in 1931.

* Death of Mr John Patrick Doran in 1984, he had been a Ryde Borough Councillor and the first head of the building department of building at the IW College of Arts & Technology.

* The death of Alderman Edwin Hayden, a former Mayor of Ryde, in 1950.

* The death of Mr Henry William Oscar Weeks in 1955, he had been Ryde’s wartime Mayor.
