COMMUNITY ACTION AWARDS 2011

Our Certificate

On Wednesday 8 June we had a fantastic evening at the Riverside Centre attending the Community Action Awards 2011.

There were 48 entries from hardworking and community centred voluntary groups from across the Island, all very worthy causes. We were pleased to have been shortlisted and invited to the Awards Ceremony at the Riverside Centre in Newport.

The evening highlighted and acknowledged the huge amount of effort and time people give voluntarily to the causes they support. It was good for us to meet and hear about the work of other groups and we were pleased that the judges recognised the value of the work that our volunteers put into making Ryde Social Heritage Group so successful. We were delighted to be Runner up in the Arts & Heritage category.
