Ann Barrett - Lead Researcher
Ann Barrett - Lead Researcher

In June Ann carried out lots of research into Probate and wills and that forms much of the detail of the month’s additions, but you will also find:

* Report on the death of Mr Harry Allnutt in January 1955, he had served in both world wars and been an employee of J S White’s in Cowes and British Rail at Ryde.

* Report on the death of Mr William Dashwood in March 1887, he was brother of the first Mayor of Ryde and a very successful businessman.

* Report on the death of Mrs Mary Mears in October 1925, she was one of Ryde oldest residents when she died.

* Report on the Golden Wedding of Mr & Mrs Thomas Sandalls in December 1937. Mr Sandalls had worked for HM Customs and had been stationed on Ryde Pier for a time.
