Carol, leader of our Publications group, had a birthday in July – let’s just say it was a ‘significant’ one – so we had a party to celebrate.
Shelagh very kindly offered us the use of her lovely house again. Shelagh and Carol spent most of the day preparing for the party and by the time we arrived at 6:30 pm everything looked wonderful.
We had a fantastic evening enjoying good company and excellent food.
Instead of a birthday cake Shelagh improvised with her ‘speciality’ dish and the ‘piece de resistance’ for the evening was a mound of meringues with candles which Carol had to blow out.
