Dover Park School spring visit

On Tuesday March 20th a group of 75 children, armed with sketch books, descended on Ryde Cemetery. They were from Years 3 and 4 of Dover Park Primary School and had come on a cross hunt and to look for the signs of spring. They didn’t have to look far to find a vast number of crosses of all shapes and sizes. Their group leaders had identification cards to assist them in naming the types of crosses. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and the signs of spring were also easy to find with clumps of primroses, daffodils and crocuses scattered across the cemetery. RSHG volunteers were on hand to provide refreshments. All the children, teachers, assistants and parents had a very enjoyable afternoon.

Ryde Pier on a Misty Morning

If you come and join us for the Party on the Pier at Ryde Pier Head on Saturday 31 March you can see some lovely work done by children of Dover Park School. A group of children from the school recently visited Ryde Pier on a very misty morning. They have produced some wonderful artwork and poems about that visit and it will be on display.
