NOVEMBER 2012 ADDITIONS TO RECORDS

In November our Research Team, led by Ann Barrett, added biographical detail to 34 records on the website.

Various archives have been searched and in this month’s additions you will find:

* Report of the death of Mrs Rose Mary Blunden in April 1935. Mrs Blunden was the wife of Mr Harry Blunden licensee of the Vine Inn in Castle Street and daughter of Mr Harry Wyatt former licensee of the Anglesea Tavern.

* Report of the death of Major Arthur Maitland Byng, the son of Capt Arthur Hervey Byng. Major Byng was killed in action at Vailly, during the battle of Aisne on 14 December 1914.

* A celebration of the life of Maureen Gale of Ryde who died in December 2008.

* Report of the life and death in July 1938 of the Rev William Frederick Hanbury former Vicar of Swanmore.
