Ryde Arts Festival week 2013 closed on 7 July and a very successful event it was. Here are the Family History Shrines RSHG members exhibited in the NEVER ENDING STORY exhibition at the Depozitory.

Ryde Social Heritage Group has a long association with Ryde Arts Festival, we always have an exhibition or two relating to some aspect of the town’s history during Ryde Arts Festival week. This year with the theme of the Festival being ‘The Book’ we had an exhibition called READ ALL ABOUT IT at Ryde Library. You can still see that exhibition until Saturday 27 July (during normal library opening hours – closed Thursdays and Sundays).

This year we also exhibited some Family History shrines made by some of our members at a workshop held on 12 June. These shrines are a lovely way for people to show their personal research and honour their own families.
