In August our Research Team, led by Ann Barrett, added biographical detail to 34 records on the website.

Various archives have been searched and in these updates you will find details about:

* Report of the inquest into the death of Mrs Alice Band in July 1906, she was the wife of the proprietor or the Marine Hotel on the Esplanade.
* Details of the Military career of General Sir Samuel Brown VC
* Report of the death of Mr John Dimmer in September 1951. Mr Dimmer ran a stationery and printing business in Ryde for 55 years.
* Report of the death and military funeral of Major Charles Francis Mystyn Watkins in July 1913. Major Watkins was Officer in charge of Chatham District RE.
