For Heritage Open Days RSHG will be hosting an event at St Thomas Church Ryde on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September from 11:00-16:00 and 18:30-20:30 on both days

There will be exhibitions on
‘The Changing Face of Ryde’
‘The Postal Service’
‘Ryde Photographers’
‘St Thomas Church & The Lords of the Manor’
‘Chemists & Remedies’

Our archive and old maps will be available for visitors to browse and there will be a Meet the Residents, Character Walk at 2pm and a Fun Treasure Trail at 3pm on both days.

Refreshments available all day

On Friday Evening there is a presentation on the Postal Service by Mr Meader of the Postal Museum
followed by ‘A Monologue of a Mole Catcher’

On Saturday Evening there is a presentation on ‘RSHG The Most Inspirational Community Archive Group’ by Janette Gregson followed by Shore Women Writers’ Group ‘Islands’
