One of our lovely members, Ralph Jenvey, passed away on 10 November. Ralph was a kind and beautiful soul and a great supporter of the group.

We were so fortunate that at our AGM in October Ralph gave a short talk on his memories of Ryde which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Kate and I will always remember linking arms with Ralph and swinging our legs to demonstrate how the boys from Hazelwood used to walk down the roads of Ryde singing “We are the Hazelwood boys”.

Thank you Ralph for being a dear and kind friend to all of us, We were fortunate to have known you and we will miss you.

The funeral is to be held at the IW Crematorium at 11:15 on Friday 29 November. Family flowers only. Donations to Friends of St Mary’s.

The funeral was a lovely and touching service and Ralph was clearly loved by many people. Our thoughts are with his wife Doris and their family for their sad loss.
