On Saturday 28 June we will have three different exhibitions up in Ryde!

RYDE LIBRARY

200 Years of Ryde Pier and Life in Ryde 100 Years Ago.

Explore the fascinating history of Ryde Pier which will celebrate its 200th anniversary on 26 July this year and find out about life in Ryde during 1914 as the true scale of global conflict was about to be felt with the outbreak of the First World War.

Admission: Free. The exhibition will be open during normal library hours and will be in place until the end of July.

ST THOMAS HERITAGE CENTRE, ST THOMAS STREET, RYDE

WW1 Stories To compliment the Landmark Trees installation at St Thomas Church we have a display featuring some of the stories we have researched about people from Ryde who fought in the Great War.

Admission: Free. The exhibition will be open during the day 10:30 – 16:30 from Saturday 28 June until Sunday 6 July.

RYDE CEMETERY HERITAGE AND LEARNING CENTRE

‘Summer’ A new exhibition for the South chapel in Ryde Cemetery features everything ‘Summer’ – beautiful photographs taken in the cemetery during the summer months, as well as past summer entertainment in Ryde.

Admission: Free. The Heritage and Learning Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 to 16:00 and will be in place for a few months.
