Happy Birthday Ma’am
In keeping with our tradition of trying to stay ahead of the game RSHG decided to hold an event on the 19th April at the Ryde Cemetery Learning Centre to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on the 21st April.
Both chapels were in use and various displays of information and artefacts had been mounted to cover the Queen’s life and they were well received by those attending. In addition our information files and magazines relevant to the occasion were available. During the day 35 people plus a baby passed through the doors which kept those of our members providing the refreshments fairly busy.
At noon a toast was drunk to Her Majesty. Although we had champagne flutes for the toast unfortunately they only contained sparkling water in various flavours.
