Spring is here!

Pink Bluebells

The fine weather has given an opportunity to enjoy a walk in Ryde Cemetery, and at every turn there is an abundance of spring flowers.  The primroses with their yellow hue spread out across the fresh green grass of spring.  Daffodils are in large clumps where the bulbs have increased over the year.

What you cannot fail to notice are the bluebells, they have popped up everywhere, their colour making quite a show where they stand proud amongst the primroses.

In a few places there are pink bluebells.  They have sturdy growth and broad leaves, we believe they may be the Spanish type of bluebell, but if anybody knows differently and can identify the species, please do share your thoughts with us.
