Another National Award for RSHG

In December 2015 the Community Archives and Heritage Group which supports and promotes community archives in the UK and Ireland announced that they were setting up a Sustained Achievement Award to celebrate sustainability in the community archive and heritage sectors.

The award aims to inspire others and showcase good community archiving and is for groups that have been working hard and consistently over at least a 10 year period. Such groups are likely to have something special in the way they continue to ensure the continuity of their archive and it is up to them to explain what this is.

Nominations, Janette wrote ours for us, are judged on an individual basis and the Award consists of a logo for attaching to displays and websites as well as a certificate.

We were delighted to hear a few days ago that the judges have approved our nomination and given us an award.

The photo is of the poster which shows our achievements and which will be on display at the CAHG Annual Conference in July.
