Supporting the Local Community

St Michael's Church Swanmore

On Saturday 22 July 2017, four members of the Ryde Social Heritage Group enjoyed a social memories morning get-together from 10am till 12 o’clock, in the church hall of St. Michael’s Church, Swanmore. There was a large gathering, and most of the people who attended had been to these events previously and conversation was literally buzzing.

The tables were laid out with pretty cloths and nice china for the cups of tea, and rather lovely scones, strawberries, cream and jam. There was no shortage of tea as they came around with more once a pot was empty.

All credit must go to the ladies who organise the events and provide the refreshments at St Michael’s, which enables the people of the community to come together and chat.

There was a charity raffle with many prizes.
