Ryde Architecture
Elaborate Stone Carving above Ryde Methodist Church archway
The Methodist Church, Garfield Road, Ryde. By Charles Bell, 1883.
Striking main front facing south, the central window, set within a semicircular arch, has elaborate tracery above round-topped lower lights. Below is a pair of doorways inside another arch, also rounded, all under a low gable. Low wings with sloping roofs flank either side. A smaller church hall in the same manner is attached to the east.
