“Lights of Love”

Doors of the Crematorium Foyer

Side window of the Foyer

Ann, Colin and Barbara were able to go along to the “Lights of Love” Service at the crematorium on the 13th December, at 7pm.  We represented Ryde Social Heritage Group in association with The 3rd Ryde Girls Brigade. We had made some Stained Glass Windows for the foyer of the chapel.

The service was very well attended with the three Chaplin’s leading the worship. It was very poignant as little candles were lit to commemorate passed love ones and people were encouraged to add a label with their name on it onto the Christmas tree at the front of the chapel. Wight Harmony were on hand to sing carols and later on outside we sang carols around the large Christmas tree and the lights were switched on, even in the rain.

Afterwards we were treated to mulled wine and mince pies while chatting. Such a lovely service.
