Other Information: On 5 February 2008 Barry Mursell contacted us with the following information: "Arthur Edwin MURSELL b 21/12/1872 Newport, IOW m 1898 St Johns Niton, IOW to Emily Marion JONES b 1876 Niton, IOW" and also the photograph of Edwin which is attached..........Ann amended date on 02.05.2008, source: death, burial and newspaper records.



Note: The map from Bereavement Services also gives the name of Robert Mackett for this grave but he is not mentioned on the inscription. According to the Quigley Index of burials for Ryde Cemetery Robert Mackett was buried 15 January 1880 aged 87 years.
