Other Information: On 3rd January 2008 Arthur Williams contacted us with this information: "I notice that you have now photographed and recorded the grave of my grandfather Arthur Frederick Williams which I dug out of the brambles last summer. He was the Arthur mentioned as being seriously wounded, in fact he lost an eye, in the article you published on coachman Harry Williams. (See the story under News Articles on the front page). Arthur joined the Hampshires at age 18 in 1901 and having served in the West Indies and S Africa was a reservist when WW1 broke out. He went to Belgium with the BEF and was wounded at Ploegsteert on November 7th 1914, the day before his brother George was killed at the same place (ie Ploegsteert).
