His wife Sarah, who was born in Brompton, Middlesex in 1830 survived him, dying of Bronchitis and asthenia on 10th March 1891".
Definition of Asthenia from MedicineNet.com: Asthenia: Weakness. Lack of energy and strength. Loss of strength. The word asthenia is not much used in medicine today, although it is a prominent part of myasthenia, a loss of muscle strength, as in myasthenia gravis.
Asthenia is from the Greek asthenes, from a- (without) + sthenos (strength). Phtisis is the Greek word for consumption.
