On 9 January 2010 we were contacted by Jo Banks 4 x gg-child of Philip and Elizabeth Duffett with the following information: They were married in the Independent Chapel in Poole, Dorset on 22 May 1838. Philip was the son of Thomas Duffett a Butcher, Elizabeth the daughter of William Garland a Miller. Philip was a butcher. The witnesses were J. Garland and Charlotte Lovell. Philip and Elizabeth had three children: Sarah born 1841 who married John Leach, James Garland Duffett born 1842 who married Jane Lake and later Lavinia Dunford, and Emily born 1845.
