Grave Description: Bedstead type headstone with double semi-circular top and central top knot. High relief decorative swags and swirls at top of headstone with drapes on right and left sides. Broad convex cartouche text panel with engraved lettering. Further relief drapes below cartouche and over flat topped pediment with concave shoulders.

Grave Condition Description: In very good condition considering the age of this elaborately adorned Georgian memorial. Heavy lichen cover on stone but inscription can be read.

Other Information: This headstone has been placed against the inside of the West Churchyard wall, we have no record of where the original plot was sited. The headstone of his wife Jane has been placed next to him.
