Grave Description: Small headstone rising to a cross, engraved lettering, inscription is on both sides. Grass covered plot.


Grave Condition Description: Fairly good but it is under a large holly tree.

Other Information: According to the Casualty Lists of the Royal Navy and Dominion Navies, World War 1 http://www.naval-history.net/xDKCas1916-03Mar.htm LOVELL, Victor H C, Chief Engine Room Artificer 2c, 270685 (Po) was serving in E24 Submarine when it was lost. According to Wikipedia HMS E24 was a British E class submarine built by Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness. She was laid down on 9 December 1915 and was commissioned on 9 January 1916. She was mined off Heligoland Bight on 24 March 1916.
