Other Information: Additional information supplied by Len Wise: Although everyone called him Vic, he was Baptised Wilfred Victor 25th April 1896 at Sedgley, Staffordshire. He joined the Royal Artillery during the 1st WW. Met Kate Mantle while she was in London on war work and they married 9 June 1917 at Ealing. He came to live on the Island during 1928 and set up home at Oakfield. He died 5 years later at Harding Road.
