Grave Description: Flat grave with stone kerb surround and concrete top. Inscription in leaded lettering.

Grave Condition Description: Lots of lichen on stone face making inscription difficult to read.

Information from Carol Strong May 2016: Catherine nee Wiley was born in Ballinakill, Queens County, Ireland and married George Bessant 16 November 1856 at Holy Cross Church. Binstead, died Liliac Cottage, Hope Road, Elmfield, Ryde. Emily Phillips (nee Bessant) is one of their 8 children. The plot was purchased by Emily Phillips of Elmfield 31 July 1893.
