Grave Condition Description: Following further clearance, lettering eroded and difficult to read in places but better light has revealed more of inscription (Jan 2016)

Other Information: Eliza Purnell was the first wife of James Purnell and mother of Sarah Mary Curtis. James Purnell remarried and his second wife was called Eliza (Jane) Purnell. She is not recorded on this memorial. Eliza is not buried in this plot although recorded on the inscription, source: Bereavement Services records
