Grave Description: East facing headstone set at the west end of a kerbed 'L' shaped plot.

Grave Condition Description: Headstone has fallen backwards and is often obscured. The kerbing is buckled and the rear portion now lays on the grass top. The iron railings that once surrounded this grave have long since gone.

Other Information: Mary Jane Long was the daughter of Jacob and Amelia Long. She married Patrice Puyravel on 7th September 1846 at Newchurch. Patrice was the butler for Sir John Lees in Dover Street, Ryde. After the death of his employer in 1892, Patrice left the Island to go and live with his daughter Adelaide and her family in Gosport. Patrice died on 28th December 1901 and is buried in Ann's Hill Cemetery, Gosport. Mary Jane and Patrice's daughter, Marie Antoinette Day is buried in the front section of Mary Jane's 'L' shaped plot.
