On Saturday 3 May Carol and I had our monthly Nature Walk at about noon and this time we were joined by Liz, Rachael, Kate and Cynthia and it was a sunny and pleasant day. We found a spider’s nest (image) in a Flower vase on a grave and there were many baby spiderlings but
May Meadow Flowers At this time of year the cemetery comes alive with meadow flowers and in areas where the flowers are allowed to grow it becomes a feeding ground for flying insects.
Our dedicated Research team have been working hard in April and have added more detail to 82 of the records on the website.
William Arnold Bromfield wrote the FLORA VECTENSIS a description of the flowering plants and ferns of the Isle of Wight.
On April 12th we held our quarterly Members' meeting at 10:30am at the George Street Centre. Thirty-three members and 6 guests attended the meeting.

There was a heavy snow shower on the morning of Sunday 6th April 2008 and for a brief period, until the sun came out in the afternoon, the cemetery was transformed.
