Members of Ryde Social Heritage Group enjoy being out and about in the community supporting local events.
Travelling back in time to the 1860s audiences were introduced to Mrs. Young of Appley Towers and Lady Clifford of Westfield.
In February, our busy research team added 36 biographical records to names on the website, including that of Admiral Sir Augustus James William Clifford.

On 6 November, some of Ryde's past residents travelled to Newport to meet members of the Isle of Wight Family History Society. Instead of the usual talk, we suggested the Character Dramatic Presentation, hearing history first hand.
