St Michael’s and All Angels Church, Swanmore held another morning of memories, this time with a childhood theme. Four members of the Ryde Social Heritage Group went along to share their experiences
The original idea was that on the 1st of March, the meteorological first day of Spring, we would invite anyone who was interested to join us in Ryde Cemetery for a stroll round to spot signs that Spring was on its way.

Ryde Social Heritage Group hosted a very successful and enjoyable Archive Day at Ryde Library on Saturday 6 February. The Group's exhibition had a key focus on 'Streets of Ryde.'

In December our busy research team added biographical detail to 32 names on the website
This was a proud heading in the Isle of Wight County Press of January 1894. Ryde certainly hosted a wide range of entertainments to occupy those long winter nights.
