RSHG have received another award, a Certificate of Excellence for the South & South East in Bloom, associated with Ryde Cemetery


In August our busy research team added 27 biographical records to names on the website, including that of Edward Barnett, who was highly respected in Ryde


Our 'Ryde Characters' have been out and about again, making a return visit to the Elim Church Senior Circle on Wednesday 3rd August 2016 at their premises in Albert Street.


The RSHG Members Meeting at the George St Centre on Saturday 9 July was very enjoyable and 40 people attended. After the main business with updates on the Group's activities, Mark Wingham gave an excellent talk on 'The Golden Age of Picture Postcards.'


Year 5 from Greenmount Primary School visited Ryde Cemetery with their teacher Mr Alabie. The visit was part of their Victorian studies this term. The children moved around different activities including walks, mapping and research.
